Two Testimonials, with Commentaries

Two of my relatively recent new patients were kind enough to offer their testimonials for others to read and think about. Many people have read Mark and Jackie Kidder's testimonial about her seemingly miraculous cure from fibromyalgia and migraines. They may wonder whether that was a "one-hit wonder" or whether other patients I see have experiences like that all the time. After all, Jackie's recovery (following nine years of excrutiating pain and over $100,000 out of pocket while other methods failed) happened in 2004.

Most of this newsletter is dedicated to the two real life experiences these women have generously shared. They have both sent other family members and friends to see me because I have something that works. Beth first came to see me in late July; Barbara in September of this year. After their stories, I'll talk briefly about what we are doing that is different.

Barbara Harold Cleans Out Her Medicine Cabinet

Barbara Harold, a happy patient from Houston, Texas

I just want everyone in the world to go to Dr. Stuart! After the first visit, I was able to drive again after 2 years! I also cleaned out my cabinet of all pain pills! I was sure I would live with debilitating pain the rest of my life, but I no longer fear that. Dr. Stuart has given me a new lease on life.

I've only gone for a month and I'm so much better it's just unbelievable. I was going broke with chiropractic and acupuncture, so I just can't believe how affordable this is. My husband has his wife back!

Beth Christy Gets Rid of 42 years of Suffering from Migraines, Back Pain and Fibromyalgia

Bethy Christy, a patient from Sealy, Texas who got rid of years of pain.

First treatment

I have scoliosis, kyphosis (humpback), and lordosis (swayback). Remember my back hurting when I was around 11. Thought it was from carrying my sibling around. Don't remember days when I didn't have a back or headache in over 42 years.

I have had migraines since I was 9.

Beth Christy, Sealy, TX

    Previous treatments included:

  • Told back surgery would straighten it.
  • Told the scoliosis was only 17 degrees about 14 years ago, and wasn't that bad. It probably isn't that bad, but the pain and discomfort was.
  • Prescribed muscle relaxants and pain medication.
  • Told to learn to learn to live with it (the pain).
  • Had numerous physical therapies.
  • Used a TENS unit.
  • Acupuncture treatments.
  • Chiropractic care.
  • Taken prescription pills and shots for migraines.

Some of this helped, but never stopped the pain.

I did not mention to Dr. Stuart that I had fibromyalgia, didn't think it would make any difference. I had been having the symptoms since 1984, and was told by one doctor in 1995 that I was just getting old (I was 39). I had been taking Guaifenesin 1200 mg. twice a day from May 2004 for fibromyalgia. The guai had been helping the last 6 years, before starting it I was getting so bad I could barely get out of bed. The pain was less severe, but in the past several months (2010) it was starting to get worse. The guai also helped with the migraines.

I was starting to have a lot of numbness in my arms and hands, they were 'going to sleep' quite often.

Making an appointment with Dr. Stuart, I had hope, as you always do when looking for pain relief. I expected it to take a long time though, as I tried one more pain relief method.

He explained what Cranial Spinal Integration was about, asked my main concerns for this treatment, and then did the muscle testing to find which muscles are not performing.

During the adjustment I actually felt less discomfort. This was in a couple of minutes!

The next few days I felt tired. It was similar to being very stressed, and then when the stress is over you can finally relax.

My upper back pain stopped, the area where the scoliosis is has not been bothering me, which is the first time in over 42 years.

I am not having fibro pain. A couple of days after my first treatment, I thought I would try going without the Guaifenesin. This was a challenge since missing a couple of doses meant more pain and migraines returning. Surprisingly the fibro pain was gone, not decreased, gone!

My head felt a little tingling, like your hand does when it falls asleep, but not bad, for a couple of days.

I have been able to turn over in bed without sitting up first, before every time I would turn over I would wake up.

Glad to share with others about the pain relief my family & I are having and thankful we found Dr. Stuart!

My Two Cents about the Two Testimonials

In 1998, I started the study of Bio Cranial Therapy. That is what I used in treating Jackie Kidder. Both Barbara Harold and Beth Christy received Cranial Spinal Integration (CSi) treatments. CSi is similar in that it involves a precise stretching of a tough tissue lining inside the skull, but it is generally noticeably more gentle than Bio Cranial. Both methods work well, I have taught them both to other doctors, and I use both approaches in my practice.

In all three cases (Jackie's, Barbara's and Beth's), I used muscle testing extensively. I do resistance testing with muscles to show the brain where it needs to work to restore better muscle function. Almost invariably, the "after tests" are significantly better than the "before tests"--and the improvements stick! This is one of the secrets to the successes my patients experience when they work with me.

I Appreciate Your Many Kindnesses

My last newsletter was rather personal: I wrote about my love for my recently departed wife of 31 years, Gitesha Marmorstein. I have been blessed to have received kind and wise words, books, cards, flowers, goodies, meals and prayers. I'll never be able to thank everyone for all of the beautiful and thoughtful things you have done for me and my family. We had a very touching memorial service for Gitesha on Saturday, October 2. My continuing to offer my work is part of the recovery process for me. Thank you for continuing to let me help you and those you care about.

Yours in and for Good Health,

Stuart C. Marmorstein, D.C., D.B.C.S.
