Preparation

Suitcase for Dr. Stuart Marmorstein's upcoming trip

For some of you, this is your first newsletter from me. If so, you can see older issues archived at http://www.drstuart.net/subscribe.htm on the upper right portion of the page. The two issues before this one each have articles about some powerful self-help methods. In February, I discuss the Emotional Neurovascular Technique, and in January, The Temporal Tap.

Why put out newsletters, give away information, or--for that matter--invite you to continue joining me for sessions to help your nervous system to function better? First of all, I enjoy sharing with you and thinking that you may be enjoying life more, because an idea that is new to you is preparing you better to take care of yourself. If we aren't preparing ourselves to live a better life, what ARE we preparing for?

I am preparing to take another educational journey next weekend, so in case you were musing about coming in to see me this week, I plan to stop seeing practice members after Friday morning. Catching a plane Friday afternoon, so schedule yourself early. The latter part of the morning is filling up, already. Of course, Friday afternoon hours will resume the following week.

Trading Up

I don't know how many health care practitioners make vows, but I always have. One of mine has been that if I ever find someone who is using methods that deliver therapeutic results that go beyond what my current ways of treating people can offer, I will "trade up." Periodically, this has meant that the way I practice can change: Some times a lot. I believe that by the time the summer is over, the way I treat the folks I take care of will look and feel quite different from what my patients and I are accustomed to.

The Next Step in Cranial Work

Some of you actually started seeing me for care in the late 1970s, and even then, I incorporated cranial work into my practice. I gave my first spinal and cranial adjustments in 1976 and am known as someone who has taught cranial corrective techniques for decades. While spinal adjusting is part of the chiropractic college curriculum, cranial (skull) adjusting is not.

A colleague of mine in Indiana, gained access to some rare methods and understandings in the cranial area that she has graciously agreed to share with me. She has modified this work in new and unique ways and is achieving stellar results with her patients. this doctor has studied several of the same cranial methods I currently use in practice like Bio Cranial and Cranial Spinal Integration, and is aware of what they can accomplish. I helped to teach her those techniques. I experimented recently with a few of the new ideas she passed on to me, and was quite impressed with what happened. Ten consecutive patients I treated experienced breakthroughs! they noticed significant improvements over and above whatthey were used to in working with me.

I know some of you will wonder, "What's this new stuff called." Sorry--no name yet. I can't even give you this doctor's name, at least not yet. I will be the first person she has taught these methods to.

The other thing that typically comes up during times of change is, "But...but...I like the work you are doing now. It's the only work that ever helped me!" Don't worry. We'll use new, old, or some combination to continue to help you. That's always the bottom line.

The next big dose of knowledge will come in mid-June, but we'll save the discussion of that for another time.

So, just know that I am always looking out for you, and looking forward to continuing to learn on your behalf.

Yours in and for ever-improving health.
