Words of Wisdom
"The world is full of willing people; some willing to work, the rest willing to let them."
Robert Lee Frost, American Poet. (March 26, 1874 – January 29, 1963)
This month, I've only managed to squeak out one newsletter because I participated in two weekend educational events and spent another weekend on a writing project. The writing project is a first version of a free ebook about how I use Bio Cranial and muscle testing to help patients with chronic pain syndromes, including fibromyalgia. It gives a much more in-depth view of how Bio Cranial can improve the alignment of the spine and TMJ. It's a good way to introduce other people to my work, or to better understand the cranium and its relationship to health if you have already been a patient of mine for a while. It is entitled, "How to Get Better...Really Better...With the Head to Foot Approach." You can download it from my home page. The direct link to it is http://www.drstuart.net/headtofoot.pdf. There are a few minor kinks in it, but I'm ready for it to go out as-is and will work on improving it over the next several months. This ebook, much more thorough than a printed brochure, will serve as my office brochure until I get to work on a series of shorter printed topical brochures.
Last night, Gitesha and I watched the Academy Awards. This annual event is also about getting better: better at making movies. Some of the improvements in motion pictures come about from learning from the giants of the past, some come from creative thinking. All require the investment of time, money and effort. There is also a spirit of working together as part of an indispensable team, and the remembrance and acknowledgment of everyone who made an award-winning moment possible.
Thank you for being part of my team. Together, we are spreading the word that there is another way to help people achieve a healthy and pain free status. Whatever your political persuasion, you know that when a politician talks about "health care", they are referring almost exclusively to the system of symptom labeling and drugging people in the guise of improving health. The bottom line of large pharmaceutical, hospital and insurance corporations gets healthier, but what about the patient?
The first of my weekend meetings was with a group I joined called WONMP: World Organization of Natural Medicine Practitioners. Soon you'll be able to join WONMP as one of my patients. There is no required cost to join, but this group is fighting for our natural health care rights, so I have joined then. There are many educational programs that they provide for doctors and patients around the world, and my membership will help keep me better informed of the latest diagnostic and treatment options available in the natural medicine world. By including patients in WONMP, we hope to grow to a million members in a year, which could influence the political process and preserve our rights to seek healing in the forms we wish.
The second of my weekend meetings was with a much smaller, but no less revolutionary group: The Senior Instructors of the Bio Cranial Institute. Six of us flew to Springfield to pave the way for the next phase of a big job. We need to be able to prepare new Bio Cranial practitioners and a new generation of instructors to carry on the work of Robert Boyd, D.O.
I get emails every day from all around the world looking for someone I can recommend to help them through the Bio Cranial System. Last night, I got an email from someone in a large town in New Hampshire. I had to inform her that there were no practitioners in New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine or Rhode Island, but that there was one very fine practitioner in western Massachusetts. One of our challenges is producing more practitioners. Another is to make sure that the members of the Bio Cranial Institute are proficient at the work, and that our website reveals their proficiency level to the public in a meaningful way.
Bio Cranial is not easy to master. I've been at it for over nine years. My friend and colleague, Dr. Doug Hays went to Ireland to spend a week with Dr. Boyd. They ironed out many issues about the technique itself so that we could get all of the instructors on the same page. Even though this group of instructors already constituted the most skilled and experienced practitioners in existence, we still all improved our work during this session. We also discussed how we'll implement the rating of present and future Bio Cranial doctors.
I'm very excited to be working in the trenches to carry the best of natural healing methods forward to the next generations, and I appreciate you--my fellow revolutionaries.
In early March, I'll be collaborating on some research with my friend and colleague, Dr. Gwen Foster. We're going to explore using thermographic imagery to show before and after changes in the head and body resulting from the application of Bio Cranial Therapy. Thermographic images are clear colorful infrared images showing zones of temperature variation within the body. Dr. Foster, a Naturopath uses these images to help her understand what is going on in the body. This non-invasive technology has been used to evaluate the health of breast tissue, and has many other applications, as well.
I have numerous other projects in the works, including one to help men with preventing prostate health problems. Also looking into some special supplements that I learned about at the WONMP Congress. More in future editions.
Back to Oscars mode for the moment: I'd also like to thank Iliana and her new staff members, Ana and Gesmi for their excellent work in facilitating my ability to see patients in my Houston office. I've had wonderful feedback from numerous patients about how helpful and friendly Ana and Gesmi are. Now anyone who answers the phone when you call can make appointments for you. Please call between 8:30 AM and 5 PM Monday through Friday to reach someone "live".
Finally, I'd like to thank my family for cooperating in my next major move that effects my professional practice. As many of you know, I've had a very long commute (upwards of an hour each way) most of the time I've practiced in Houston. This has restricted me terribly in what I can accomplish and offer in the practice because of the time involved in travel. My wife and I will soon move close to the office, which will allow me to serve you better, and to be fresher when I do so.
Short topics:
Audio Interview
There is also a new link to another interview with Contact Talk Radio personality Vaishali that I did with her in November. You can download it and play it on any MP3 player or on your computer from http://www.drstuart.net/vaishali110907.mp3.
Safety Warning
Be careful of boiling water in a microwave. According to General Electric, microwaved water and other liquids do not always bubble when they reach the boiling point. They may actually become superheated and not bubble at all. This superheated liquid will bubble up out of the cup when it is moved or when something like a spoon or tea bag is put into it. It can spray up into a person's face causing severe burns.
To prevent this from happening and causing injury, do not heat any liquid for more than two minutes per cup. After heating, let the cup stand in the microwave for thirty seconds before moving it or adding anything into it.

Upcoming Schedule Changes:
I'll be attending the Annual Bio Cranial Homecoming Event this May, which will effect my schedule. The first and last weeks in May, I'll be there for my normal Tuesday, Thursday and Friday schedule. The second week, I'll be there on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (May 6, 7 and 8). I'll then be gone the entire week that begins on Monday, May 12; returning to the office on Wednesday, May 21. I'll work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday that week and resume my normal schedule during the last week. Homecoming will be in Ft. Myers, Florida this year. Practitioners from around the world will convene there for continuing professional development programs.
More Support for natural healing in Houston
On Saturday, March 29, I'll be participating again in the Healthy U Expo at Sandy's Market. I'll send out further information a little closer to the event.
