A Holiday Gift for You

holiday gift box

Stretch your dollars over the holidays: Between now and December 31, you can get an even better value than you receive with our usual 10-visit package.

For new readers, here is how our most popular package works for you throughout the year: Without a package, an initial visit--which includes exam, consultation and first treatment--runs $150. Follow up visits are $75. Visit http://www.drstuart.net or see the testimonial below to learn what can happen in the midst of these extraordinary sessions.

Because I want to encourage you to get the care you need for yourself AND your family, our ten-visit package rate is 20% lower than our one-visit-at-a-time rate.

For the holidays this year, we'll add in a bonus: Get a new 10-visit package, and we'll tack on an extra visit (value $75)...just because it's THAT time of year. The 10-visit package normally saves you $150 (equivalent to a new patient visit). Save $225, instead--but just between now and the December 31. You pay $600 and you save $225! We have NEVER offered this before, and may not ever offer it again.

Remember: You can use these visits yourself, share them with family, friends or employees. As always, a new patient visit counts as two visits on any package plan.

Here's how you can save even MORE: It is rare for us to make larger packages available, but for a short time, you can get a Double Holiday Package. Just $1200 gets you 22 visits and saves you a whopping $450 over our visit-by-visit rates. These savings can make your whole next year feel better. AND, you can share your visits with those who are special to you.

If you already have a package in force, we'll just add on the new visits. Tell me you want to take advantage of this promotion when you come in next time, and we'll make it all happen on the spot.

When Will We Be Open?

This coming week (December 14-18) we are on our usual Tuesday, Thursday and Friday schedule.

Christmas week (December 21-25) we'll be open Monday, Tuesday and half of Wednesday.

New Year's week (December 28-31) we'll be open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Friday, January 1, 2010 (wow, already?!) we'll be closed.

A Great Healing Story

Thanks to Mr. Sarkies for sharing his account with us. Dave's chronic low back pain and sciatica recovery story brings to mind an important subject for the next section: Where do healing and miracles come from?

To whom it may concern, my name is Dave Sarkies and I have suffered with severe sciatica and back pain for many years. It finally got beyond my pain tolerance and I went and had an MRI taken. The report came back that I had degenerative disc disease, ruptured discs and arthritis. My doctor told me that I could try cortisone shots but that I would probably end up on the operating table.
A friend told me about Dr. Stuart and said I should try going to him. I walked in Dr. Stuart's office and gave him my x-rays and report and told him not to waste my time or his if he did not think he could help me. He told me he thought he could. I have gone to him twice now. The first time he worked on my sciatic nerve and it has not hurt since. The last time (a week ago) he worked on my lower back and it has not bothered me since. I have to think he is a miracle worker sent by God. All I know is that I am pain free and thank Dr. Stuart very much for what he has done for me.

My Take on Miracles

The Holiday Season did not originate so stores could hold sales (even though I present one, myself). We celebrate miracles, not sales. The Federal Trade Commission and the Food and Drug Administration refuse to acknowledge miracles and demand proof and disclaimers from those who advertise health-related products or services. However, the One who made us all can change this world in any way and at any time. Our bodies follow the laws of the material world, including susceptibility to miracles.

Our bodies and our lives are themselves miracles. No matter how long we study the human body, there is always more to learn. Doctors need to remain humble, and remember that we never control the outcome when we care for people. I also believe that a sincere desire to help will tend to cause miraculous therapeutic approaches to be revealed for us to use. We doctors, each in our own ways, clear the pathways so healing can take place. No further claims, on my part.

I love to be present for the moments when the "impossible" happens. The body is sensitive and reacts to everything from weather to emotions. The Centers for Disease Control tell us that a little virus can make us ill or kill us. Why, then, is it so hard to believe that the RIGHT little thing can turn things around in a POSITIVE way and allow our health to return? The body WILL whisper its secrets to us when we learn to ask it what it wants and needs. When we respond to its answers with understanding and skill, the stage is set for the next miracle.

Why YOU May Want to Cut Wheat From Your Diet

Call me a party pooper, but the following information may help you shed holiday pounds if you wait to act on it until the beginning of 2010. If you have Celiac Disease, you're already skipping wheat. Even if you don't have Celiac Disease, here's why you may want to consider a New Year's Resolution to shift away from wheat:

  • Humans cannot fully digest wheat. The undigested part ferments and causes gas and bloating.
  • Wheat is a pro-inflammatory agent. It can cause a rapid insulin rise and can make joints ache.
  • When you eat wheat, you can set yourself up for leaky gut syndrome and create autoimmune
  • Refined wheat has little nutritional value. You don't get much out of it except excess carbs.
  • You may be one out of each hundred people who has gluten sensitivity, or Celiac Disease, AND NOT KNOW IT.

There are ways to bake and cook without wheat or gluten. I'll share some of them in a future newsletter or article if enough people tell me they'd like to know more.

ALCAT Testing

I am excited to introduce ALCAT testing to my practice. This highly reliable method can determine whether you have a problem with gluten, tomatoes, lettuce or other foods. A high percentage of health issues have their origin in the neglected area of food allergies, sensitivities and intolerances.

ALCAT blood testing can now show us:

  • Why some of us can eat and exercise with true discipline, but never lose weight.
  • Why acne, eczema, and other skin conditions can seem impossible to clear up.
  • Why many people haven't gotten better from migraines, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, asthma and respiratory problems (including inhalant allergies), weight gain and obesity, arthritis and more.

Find out whhich foods trigger inflammatory reactions in YOUR body, and you may experience a miracle yourself. Trial and error method? Why, when you can know for sure?

You will soon be able to get this testing done through my practice. Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks, as always, for reading what I write and for recommending my services. I welcome the chance to read YOUR comments on the blog once it's live. Meanwhile, you can always click the email link in this newsletter if you want to send me any comments. If they look like something I should share, I may post some once the blog is up.

I'd also like to thank my own chiropractor, Dr. Rob Ramirez; my massage therapist, Ms. Gandhari Bouligny; my Rolfer, Mr. Michael McIver; and my special family healers, Ms. Gitesha and Mr. Scott Marmorstein for their indispensable help with my personal body, mind and spirit. Thanks for keeping me going.

Happy and Healthy Holidays!

Yours in and for good health,

Stuart C. Marmorstein, D.C., D.B.C.S.
