I have an obvious ulterior motive in giving away Professor Keith Scott-Mumby's ebook, 50 Ways Foods Hurt: I only like taking care of live patients! Right-click on the link above to download the ebook to your desktop, choosing an option like "Save Target Link As".

Dr. Scott-Mumby is a British M.D. who has relocated to the U.S. He has enjoyed a brilliant career as a food detective, and he shares his secrets with us in his book. You get 49 pages of dynamite material at zero cost about chemicals in food (natural and otherwise) that can hurt you. If you like it and want more, Professor Keith will tell you how you can get it from him. If you have ever wondered why you sometimes feel bad for no apparent reason, you will find some answers here.

The Other Side of Food: What's Missing?

There is a wise tradition among chiropractic boards: They require a certain number of hours of class time each year for doctors if they want to renew their license and continue to practice. I've been to some that were as exciting as an all-night surveillance stakeout, but I've also been to some good ones. The one I took last weekend in Nutrition Response Testing was downright inspiring.

Many old-time chiropractors I've studied with would tell stories about chiropractic in the 1920s and 1930s. Patients would receive miraculous "cures"--just from getting adjusted--on a regular basis. They would get over serious illnesses in a handful of sessions.

As time went on, the same tried and true spinal adjusting procedures seemed to yield diminishing returns. Why? One theory is that modern agricultural and food storage, packaging and transport methods yielded crops that looked good, but didn't pack the nutritional wallop of the vegetables, fruits, grains and meats eggs, etc. of days gone by.

With food quality down, the human body doesn't have the quality materials it needs to repair tissue. Because of worsening food quality at the market, AND an increasingly rushed lifestyle that created a demand for speed and convenience in food preparation, we sacrificed our bodies in the Temple of the Twentieth Century. Thus, the food supplement industry was born.

The Trouble With Selecting Supplements and What I Learned in Class.

WARNING: If you are already working with a good nutrition consultant who is helping you; and you are happy, healthy, and your structural corrections last a long time, IGNORE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Most supplements are poor quality, synthetic, crazy-high dosage and don't break down well in the body.

  • One size does not fit all when it comes to supplementation.

  • Taking too many pills or capsules can be stressful to your body, mind and wallet!
The key to success is testing. Over the last thirty years, I have taken more nutrition courses than I can count, and have encountered numerous ways to determine what supplements and dosages can help a person's health to improve. I've even written and sold nutritional software to other doctors!

Do you want and need to get this right? If you would like to work with me on your nutrition and are serious about following the program I give you, drop me a note here and I'll be glad to discuss the possibility with you. My schedule does not permit me to work with nutrition during a session focused on Bio Cranial or other structural work, and I have to limit the number of people I can see for nutrition to what I can comfortably handle. I would be doing you a disservice to "take you on" if I can't give you the attention you need.

If I get enough show of interest, I may need to expand my practice hours and possibly even my office space. Regardless of whether my practice members want to work with me on nutrition or not, I am committed to taking a series of more advanced courses over the next several months just so I can help my own family to enjoy more energy, higher immunity and fewer symptoms, including aches and pains.

More on Scars..and What You Should Do About Yours.

When I took my first class in CranioBiotic Technique (formerly AllerTouch), Dr. Tony Smith talked about how scar tissue can block the sympathetic nerve flow to organs--often organs far away from the scar.

The Nutrition Response Testing class I took last weekend went into this in depth, and I saw some astonishing things happen when I started taking care of scars in a new way.

My wife had a hysterectomy in 1985. The method they used then left a long, horizontal scar across her lower abdomen. When I treated the scar, she immediately felt more strength and stability in her lower back, and this improvement has lasted. She used to get up several times each night to go to the bathroom, and the scar treatment has drastically reduced this tendency.

You may be suffering needlessly because of old injuries, surgeries, piercings, or tattoos!

Common Scars that Cause Problems:
  • Childbirth related scars on the mother from tearing, episiotomies and stretch marks. Circumcisions on males.
  • Scars from facelifts, tummy tucks, cosmetic breast surgeries, liposuctions, and so forth
  • Scars from appendectomies, tonsillectomies, gall bladder, heart, breast, orthopedic and other surgeries. Even injections, vaccinations and mole removals!
  • Scars from cuts or burns.
  • That scar on your chin you got from horsing around!
These mementos and milestones set us up for pains and other symptoms that come and go. Taking care of them can really change your life. Let me know if you are interested. I am now treating these with laser and giving follow-up instruction for home care.

What's Next in the Practice?

I have some new initials after my name: D.B.C.S Those letters stand for "Diplomate in the Bio Cranial System." Only a handful of people have been given this designation by the Board responsible for the teaching of the Bio Cranial System developed by Dr. Robert Boyd. I'll keep practicing Bio Cranial so that patients from around the world can feel that "new lease on life" that it is so uniquely capable of bestowing. My heartfelt thanks go to Dr. Boyd and my peers at the CDS Institute for this great honor.

Other than that, I'll keep on working to stay on the cutting edge so that we'll both stay young for a long time to come.

Be well!
