Inside Information
The human body is a House of Secrets. In this edition, I focus on the interior of the house. If you read between the lines (can you really do that?), you'll also find a schedule change announcement for this week and a VERY limited barter offer.
Many chiropractic patients--and even chiropractic doctors--think that our profession is all about musculo-skeletal problems, and that we should specialize in that area of expertise. And leave the inside of the body to the (allopathic) medical profession.
When the founder of The Bio Cranial System, Dr. Robert Boyd (osteopath) said that his approach could have a profound effect on metabolism and health, I got excited. He actually taught his students that his cranial (skull) work could effect blood sugar levels, and that we needed to warn our diabetic patients of this before agreeing to work on them.
I recently saw a new patient from the Austin, TX area who shared the following experience:
I'm feeling great since my visit with you! I'm emailing to give you an account of my experience with my blood sugar after my visit. I do not know what my blood sugar level was prior to seeing you, but it would not have been low. A good guess would be 140. By the time I was leaving your office, I felt like I was getting "low". I tested my blood as soon as I got to my car...it was 55. I had just eaten breakfast and therefore taken insulin, but I shouldn't have been "low". I believe the insulin was used more efficiently after your treatment. I've also noticed better control in the days following my visit with you. I am a Type I diabetic with good control anyway, but my control has been easier to achieve after seeing you! You have my permission to publish this info, and I hope to see you very soon! Susannah Anderson
Please note that Ms. Anderson did not come to me seeking help with her blood sugar. I DID caution her that her blood sugar COULD change as a result of the cranial work, but she came to me for help with other issues. I used Cranial Spinal Integration (CSi), in her case, as I do with most patients these days. It was her first visit.
What can you take away from this patient's experience? The mysterious inner workings of the body took the cranial work I did with her and helped her body sort things out itself. YOUR body can also do tremendous self-healing when hidden blocks to normal functioning are removed.
I wish that I could claim to have a cure for diabetes, cancer, MS or any other disease; but I can't, shouldn't and won't. I will, however, work with anyone who wants to improve their health. The relationship between structure and function is solid.
Next Weekend's Seminar
I'll be leaving for Dallas this Friday (August 20) in the afternoon after seeing morning patients. Can't stay late. Got to go.
During that next weekend, I'll be taking a seminar with Dr. Michael Dobbins. He'll be spending 16 hours covering the enlightened interpretation of blood test results. What can they mean? How can we improve them nutritionally? Can someone have medically "normal" results that STILL point to health problems on the horizon? Stay tuned.
Re-booting Myself
I go to many seminars sponsored by Standard Process, an excellent whole foods (not Whole Foods Market) supplement company. Whenever I've been to one of these events, I see literature about the Standard Process 21-day Purification program. People who've gone through the program say how much better they feel, and some weight loss is a common side effect when it's needed. I finally decided that it was my time, and started the program 10 days ago. Giving myself a physiological rest has been a good experience, and I have shedded a few pounds. Email me if you'd like to know more about this approach. Use this link http://www.drstuart.net/feedback.php to send me your message. Please DO NOT hit the reply button.
The Help Wanted Section
I'm in a bit of a bind and am asking for help. Last Monday, my wife got her first cast for her fractured right wrist. Bad enough. At least it's a clean break, and the prognosis is excellent.
What's making her nervous? We just picked up a bunch of moving boxes yesterday. My long hours and her broken wrist beg the question, "How are we going to get packed?"
Our oldest son is in school full time and has an apartment close to ours. Our granddaughter, Jazmin, has a bedroom in each of those apartments. So, we're consolidating households and moving all of us into a house for more family unity and lower monthly outgo.
Here's where some of you (literally) come in: We need a few people to help Gitesha pack. If you "can get down to business" with this, like my work enough to trade and aren't a klutz, a visit or several could come your way in exchange for your labors. We can't have 50 people in our apartment, so once we've found enough people to get the job done, the invitations cease. If you are interested and wish to be considered, please email me at packers@drstuart.net. Please help me by NOT just replying to this email. Put your mouse on the email link, instead and lightly touch your left mouse button. Thanks!
Finger Mode Follow Up
The main topic for the July newsletter archived at http://www.drstuart.net/jul2010.htm was finger modes. Overall, I've enjoyed using this advanced method to find hidden causes for stubborn problems and have seen some surprising breakthroughs take place. Quite a few shoulder issues with pain and limited ranges of motion have improved through finding hidden connections to anterior (forward) cervical discs and skull suture jamming that I never would have looked at before.
New Patient Paperwork
Pearl Bailey said, "What the world really needs is more love and less paperwork." Amen! New patients can send me their new patient forms, and I'll be sure everything is entered into the computer before they come to the office for their first visit. New patients will still need to sign three forms (which will be printed and waiting) so that everything will be legal.
All I need to know is the date of the first visit. New patient forms can be downloaded from: http://www.drstuart.net/newpat.pdf. Just fill 'em out, scan and email them to me at drstuartm@gmail.com, OR fax them to me at 775-254-2757. I'll do the rest.
I'd better stop now before I have to add extra e-postage.
Stay well, and never be shy about asking for help.
